"proCAB" has many powerful features, one is its huge database of over 6000 road restrictions. With every corner of the UK at your fingertips , you can quickly bring up an area that you are travelling through. Select a Restriction and see immediately all the details (pictures below). Narrow lanes, restricted bridges (Low Bridges and Weight Limits), Bollards, Arches, railway bridges, Corners, High Hedges, Overhanging Buildings, Pipes, Environmental restrictions, Local Transport Orders the list is almost endless.
The modern driver has to navigate all of these, increasingly using the best of modern sat-nav's but without any of these being taken into account. proCAB fills that gap - by helping the driver locate any problems and then avoid them.
proCAB has all the info a driver needs, road type/class and number ( e.g. A404), road name (e.g. London Road) locality (e.g. Taplow) and carriageway (if relevant)
proCAB has a "pre-plan" facility - which shows restrictions
for a route with a map of that area Drivers often use the map view shown above - to have a quick peek at the delivery location and surroundings. They can then quickly see if there is likely to be problems and if they need to change their route. proCAB PLUS also has a massive database of other HGV locations. For example a driver can find an Industrial Estate, get a route and then call them up (using the number in proCAB) to confirm arrival time.
"proCAB has two main parts to help in planning and avoiding restrictions.
this is used before you travel - to find the problems and plan routes that avoid them. Browse the map and see where the probelms are, or use the route summary to see a short list of every probelm on route. You can then review these and choose the roads to take. Its easy to make sure that you dont just avoid bridges, weight and width limits but also housing estates, farm tracks, rat-runs and other unsuitable roads.
Because of proCAB PLUS huge data base of locations for HGV's its very simple to find the correct route in to some very hard to locate places.

provides you with protection from probelms all the time you drive. proCAb is constantly cghecking the road ahead for restrictions in its database, just like speed cameras do. As soon as it spots a probeolm for your vehicle (you enter your vehciles height, weight and width before driving) you are warned by both spoken and on-screen alerts.
The voice alert will actually tell you the problem - e.g. "Driver Alert - Weight Limit Ahead - 44 Tonne Vehicles must divert". This saves having to look at the screen as you drive, and the visual warning is an on screen icon showing the distance to the restriction and its details.
To avoid the problem just click on the "divert" or "detour" functions and the sat-nav will take you around the problem and then back to the best route as quickly as possible. Using our "Driver Friend" option - you can get proCAB PLUS to warn you about probelms based on the types of road you are driving.
How many times have you started to go down a country lane that looks fine for and Artic, but find 3 miles down there are no turnings off and the road is so narrow you cannot go on ? In the countryside proCAB will warn you of restrictions many miles in advance so you have the time to re-plan before getting stuck. In the city the warnings adjust so that you get them much closer to the problem, because routes change all the time in the city.
This feature is one of the keys to using the solution and makes planning routes to avoid problems very easy..
proCAB has been designed so that any changes to the route get made by the driver. Getting the best route for an HGV involves many complex factors, including Weight, Width and Height restrictions, "access only", time of day, loading etc. proCAB places the driver in control, letting you choose what to avoid and when - that low bridge, that council estate and that narrow road.
